what we store: your account data (username, email, password hash, birthdate, gender), your homebase (the place you enter and its gps coordinates), profile fields you fill in, photos you upload, and the content you create (messages, guestbook entries, diary posts, events, ads, chat lines).

homebase & gps: your homebase coordinates are used only to calculate distances to other members, events and ads. your exact coordinates are never shown to other users — only distances. place names are geocoded via openstreetmap nominatim; only the place text you type is sent there.

registration ip: stored for abuse prevention and automatically erased after 180 days.

emails: we send transactional emails (welcome, password reset, message/friend notifications — you can switch these off in account settings) via sparkpost. we never sell your email address.

cookies: a session cookie and an optional "remember me" token. no tracking, no ads, no third-party analytics.

your rights: you can edit your data any time, control who sees your profile and real name, and delete your account — which erases all your data immediately and permanently.
